Aylmer Hadley Bothman

I'm a student teacher currently living in Johannesburg. I am an aspiring language teacher still learning the cruxes of teaching and learning. I am passionate about the two learning areas in which I specialize, namely Afrikaans and Addressing Neurodevelopmental Needs. Language is an essential part of a human’s life and therefore I am eager to promote and foster a love for language, in this case, the language would be Afrikaans. As a student teacher, I find that it is my mission to gain the necessary knowledge pertaining to neurodevelopmental needs to serve and accommodate individuals with special needs. My interests include music, reading, and holistic living. I believe music alleviates the harshness of reality and reading exposes one to ideas that may be foreign to one’s mind. A holistic lifestyle is part of my daily life and I strive to promote a holistic approach to one’s work, exercise, and many other aspects of my life. Moreover, I thoroughly enjoy working and learning about new strategies that will enhance my teaching practice.
