Ayman Al-Abdullah

I am Ayman Al-Abdullah, the former CEO of AppSumo. I took a software marketplace company from $3M to more than $80M in annual revenue in six years, and I stepped away as we approached the stage where the job turns political. I now coach founder-CEOs on scaling from $1M to $100M. In my first year as CEO I believed that solving every problem quickly was the job, until a mentor told me that if I am always putting out fires, I am the arsonist. Most of what I teach comes out of that: hire people who raise the average, put your whole team on one hill per quarter, and build a business that does not need saving.
