Professor - Electrical & Computer Engineering and Associate Dean - MSFEA, AUB in Beirut, Lebanon
I am a professor of electrical and computer engineering at the American University of Beirut (AUB) and associate dean of its Maroun Semaan Faculty of Engineering and Architecture. I was born in Lebanon, and studied electrical engineering at AUB and at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I co-founded, with two other professors, SAUGO 360, the first AUB-incubated startup. I teach courses in electronics and in networking, and have received AUB's Teaching Excellence Award in 2003. My current research interests are in networking and information security; I have published around 250 articles in the areas of security, networking, circuits, and VLSI.
