Ayotomi Fasuyi is CEO and Lead consultant of Vyvas-First Education Consults, an educational consultancy outfit born out of the need to provide school support services to organizations, institutions, and individuals. As a specialist in classroom pedagogy and ELT (English Language Teaching), Ayotomi has engaged over 10,000 teachers across Nigeria in several teacher training workshops.
She is a certified trainer for the Cambridge TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test), a development program by the University of Cambridge, UK. With over 30 years of experience as an educator, AY0T0MI is passionate about improving the education sector in Nigeria. She strongly believes that an improvement in teacher quality is the most crucial factor in restoring the sector. Her teacher training workshops are much sought-after. Renown for her engaging teaching methods, and creatively unique classroom activities, Ayotomi’s workshops always leave the participants hungering for more knowledge even after a lengthy training session.
She is also determined to help young people develop life skills that will help them navigate through life. Her pet project, Vyvas Speakers Club, provides a platform for teenagers and young adults to develop and improve their public speaking and leadership skills. It is characteristic for these youth to be mesmerized by her hearty laughter and expert ways of connecting with them on an individual basis. Her bubbly personality is a major encouragement for learners as her excitement as a teacher is contagious.
Ayotomi has worked as an independent education consultant for a few nonprofit organizations. She has also supported several private school owners to set up their schools and provides guidance and supervision especially in curriculum development to ensure that a holistic education is delivered in those schools. These institutions benefit generously from her loyalty to their growth because she is present more like a friend than a consultant, thoroughly committed to their success. Many can liken her to the anchor that holds their schools fast when the storms come.
