Ayse Gur Geden moved to Oxford, UK from Istanbul, Turkey. She studied Western Languages and Literature at Bogazici University and proceeded to work as an EFL instructor at various higher education institutions. Passionate about teaching and social issues, she received her PGCE from Yildiz Technical University, Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults from Cambridge University, MA degree in sociology from Istanbul University and another MA degree in Applied Linguistics from King's College London. Currently, she is doing her PhD in the Department of Culture, Communication and Media at UCL Institute of Education. She has a keen interest ethnographic research and educational projects. In her free time, she writes a blog called Bifbif Academy, works in her garden with her toddler, and volunteers for Oxford University Newcomers' Club as an IT and Communications Officer.
