Ayşe Gür Geden studied Western Languages and Literature at Bogazici University and proceeded to work as an EFL instructor at various higher education institutions. Passionate about teaching and social issues, she received her PGCE from Yildiz Technical University, Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults from Cambridge University, MA degree in Sociology from Istanbul University, and another MA degree in Applied Linguistics from King's College London.

She is also an Associate Fellow of Higher Education Academy and holds a PhD from the Department of Culture, Communication and Media at UCL Institute of Education where she worked as a quality reviewer and community-engaged learning coordinator.

She previously volunteered for Oxford University Newcomers' Club as the IT and Communications Officer, served the Graduate Welfare Officer role for Oxford University Islamic Society, acted as the Chief Education Officer for SchoolX project, the organizing team member for Culture, Communication and Media Seminars at UCL Institute of Education, and the organizing committee member for activities and events run by the Academics and Postgraduate Students from Turkey initiative.

Ayşe is currently an Honorary Research Fellow at UCL and employed by Cambridge University Press & Assessment (CUP&A) for Assessment Manager role. Before joining CUPA, she worked for Oxford University Press.
