Aysha Mohsin is a native Californian raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She completed her undergrad at University of California, Davis then moved to Los Angeles for law school. Just recently, she ventured out of CA and moved to New York. After spending a few years working with various law firms Aysha gained knowledge working with a myriad of subject matters and various fields such as criminal, personal injury, corporate immigration, civil rights, asylum and refugee petitions, and immigration. Although the majority of her work experience has centered on the legal profession, Aysha is passionate about non profit work and has also spent a considerable amount of time working with various NGOs locally and globally.
Aysha is the Director of Program Development at United for Service, an American non-profit organization that promotes the development of leaders in the North American Muslim community by providing youth with global volunteering opportunities. She has been with UFS since its inception and loves working with an amazing team, wonderful volunteers, and passionate supporters coast to coast and even overseas.
In her down time from legal work, Aysha loves to read, cook, venture into various social entrepreneurships, and travel and explore as much as she can. Recently, she has been cultivating her interests in becoming a Journalist and has been writing for ILLUME online magazine.
