Ayush Jaiwal
historian and Academic in Rohtak, Haryana, India
I’m a history research fellow at Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak, where I explore the fascinating worlds of regional history, socio-economic developments, and the history of Indian sciences. My journey from being an engineer to a historian puts me at a unique crossroads between the humanities and sciences, allowing me to view the past from a fresh perspective.
Before diving into historical research, I had the chance to work as the District Youth Coordinator for Nehru Yuva Kendra in Rewari, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Government of India. I also managed national partnerships for AIESEC India as part of their National Support Team for Business Development - Partnerships.
My interests are broad and varied, spanning politics, policy, society, and history. I am equally captivated by technology, the arts, and literature. Fluent in Hindi, Punjabi, and Haryanvi, I am currently expanding my linguistic repertoire by learning Sanskrit and soon Persian.
