I am a recent graduate looking to get into librarianship. Currently, I am working at the Center for Research Libraries as a Digital Document Services Clerk, where I assist in the digitization process of numerous obscure or foreign language documents. Additionally, I am volunteering at Gerber/Hart Library and Archives, assisting in everything from the shelving of books to quality control of donations. Finally, I am volunteering at an up and coming organization called Spiritual Playdate, curating, cataloging, and reviewing resources to ensure compatability with their mission statement and curricula.

In addition to my current professional and volunteer engagements, I am also applying to graduate school, as well as teaching myself HTML and CSS using Codecademy. I hope to start teaching myself Drupal and MySQL as well.

I have experience using Microsoft Publisher, Excel, Word, Windows, Connexion [OCLC], Millennium ILS, Sirsi, as well as plenty of typing (76 wpm) and webpage-creating skills. As you can see, I have had several opportunities to expand my knowledge and experience, but am always looking for more!

Some of my myriad of interests outside of work include film, literature, music, politics, science (specifically, physics and evolutionary biology fascinate me, among other areas), economics, and history.
