Brian Hamby is a Jazz/Gospel organist in Benton, AR and teaches at Piano Kraft in Little Rock ( He has a Bachelor of Arts in Music Composition from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX. Here Brian studied with the American Composer Dr. Marc Satterwhite.

Living in Austin, TX for many years, he performed on Austin's famous 6th Street and at the Elephant Room with Austin's top jazz performers. He played at the large Gateway Community Church in Austin until he became drawn to Black Gospel music. Brian was the organist and pianist at First Baptist Church in Lockhart, and was eventually promoted to Music Director under Pastor Edward Fleming, Sr.

Since moving to Benton he has played at Keith Jackson's P.A.R.K. Center and is currently the Organist and Pianist at Scope Ministries under Pastor Elvin Jackson. Brian has performed with Concert Violinist Oksana and they have played at the Arkansas State Capital, The Royal Theatre and the Clinton Library. He is also performing with Benton guitarist Tyler Weaver and Little Rock drummer Scott Southern.

Brian's instruments include a vintage 1960s Hammond C3 Organ, a Hammond XK3 Pro Style Portable Organ, a Leslie 2101, a rack mount Kurzweil K 2000 RS and a Yamaha CP33 piano. He is most commonly seen with the CP33and the Hammond XK3, either with the complete second manual and foot pedals, or just the XK3 by itself.
