Babalwa Silangwe

Hey there, I’m Babalwa. I’m a teacher living in Auckland Park. I am a fan of writing, soccer, and arts. I’m also interested in food and education. I am a third-year student at the University of Johannesburg who is 20 years old. I'm pursuing a Bachelor of Education in Senior Phase and FET with a History and English majors. Since I am concentrating on finishing my 120 hours of TEFL teaching in order to earn a certificate to improve my CV or resume and since I must complete 20 weeks of practical teaching as part of this degree, I already consider myself to be a teacher. My teaching philosophy is based on my love for literature, I would like my students to be able to critically analyze historical and literature texts with an open mind. I consider myself a very passionate and goal driven person, and I wish I can spark and enhance these qualities in my learners as well, and I have started doing this as I have to complete 30 hours of tutoring for my majors. This is a way to give back to the community.
