I’m Woodrow “Woody” Bach, a Chief Engineer in the private yachting industry with more than a decade of maritime experience. I grew up in Savannah, Georgia, before moving to South Florida in 2003. Being around the water has always been an important part of my life, and my parents’ careers in yachting had a major influence on the path I eventually chose.

I graduated from Wellington High School in 2009 and attended the University of Florida, where I studied Business Administration with a minor in Sports Management. After graduating in 2013, I decided to follow in my parents’ footsteps and pursue a career in yachting.

Since then, my work has taken me throughout Europe, the Caribbean, and the United States. Over the years, I’ve gained the technical knowledge and practical experience needed to advance to Chief Engineer. I currently work aboard a 168-foot private motor yacht, where remaining patient, adaptable, responsible, and calm under pressure is essential.

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, playing golf, boating, and spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy construction and remodelling projects. I’m always looking for opportunities to learn, grow, and take on new challenges.
