In 1992 after 25 years of service, I retired from the Greenville Fire Department in Greenville, Ohio. Later I accepted a position as a Hazardous Materials Technician with the Ohio Fire Marshal's office in Columbus. In that position, I was responsible for response to hazmat incidents as well as training for hazmat incidents in 27 counties in Northwest Ohio. I eventually migrated to the Ohio Department of Health as the Emergency Response Coordinator and later the Exercise Coordinator. In that capacity I was able to attend the Emergency Management Institute and eventually received certification as a Master Exercse Coordinator.

Since retiring from the State of Ohio, I've been working for Tetratech out of the Cincinnati office as a training specialist. We recently complted an assignment for the Ohio Department of Health where we taught position specific ICS training in Columbus, Cincinnati and Cleveland. It was a great experience with a lot of good people.
