Hi, I'm Balan. I lead the Construction & Engineering Department and Arbitration Department at Messrs Thomas Philip - a boutique dispute resolution law firm based in Kuala Lumpur, the largest of its kind in Malaysia.

I have advised and acted as counsel in arbitration proceedings involving commercial disputes, palm oil related disputes (PORAM) and disputes in the area of Information Technology (IT). I am also an experienced litigator in both civil and commercial litigation, having acted for various corporations and individuals, as lead solicitor and counsel, in maritime, non-motor insurance, and contractual disputes.
