Balder Neergaard is a versatile pianist, chamber musician, scholar and educator, who is constantly seeking new ways to communicate his musical passion to a wide audience. As an academic musician, his performances venture into the territory between artistry and scholarship to challenge the boundaries of the traditional concert experience. Following studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, Copenhagen-based Balder Neergaard received his BMus and MMus degrees at the Royal College of Music in London. Balder is currently a doctoral researcher at the Royal College of Music, studying the early pianism of Robert Schumann.
