Baliyon Lee is a design futurist, systemic thinker and design researcher. With a decade of experience, Baliyon is recognised for his human-centred approach to design and his ability to reimagine spaces through critical design thinking and future-forward strategies.

Baliyon began his design journey at Singapore Polytechnic in 2008, where he was inspired by the guidance and mentorship of his tutors. He later graduated with First Class Honours in Interior Design from the Singapore Institute of Technology and the Glasgow School of Art. In 2025, he earned his Master of Arts in Design from the University of the Arts Singapore, where his research explored design as a systemic tool for addressing complex human and societal challenges. His postgraduate research has since been published and made publicly accessible as a citable research work, extending his practice beyond the built environment into the wider discourse of design research and thought leadership.

Operating at the intersection of practice, research and futures thinking, Baliyon approaches design not merely as an aesthetic discipline, but as a means of questioning conventions, understanding systems and shaping new possibilities.

His portfolio spans award-winning projects that challenge conventional ideologies and propose innovative solutions for today's evolving built environments. Baliyon has been recognised with numerous accolades, including the Singapore Design Awards (2015), multiple Singapore Interior Design Awards (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023), London Design Awards (2023), and MUSE Design Awards (2023). Most recently, he was honoured as one of Singapore’s 30 Influential Spatial Designers, further affirming his impact and leadership in the industry.
