Balwyn Taekwon-Do

Thoroughbred Balwyn Taekwon-Do is a martial arts club established in 2003. The club is located in the inner eastern suburbs (Balwyn North and Canterbury) of Melbourne, Victoria.

We are one of Australia’s largest and most successful ITF (International Taekwon-Do Federation) schools, with affiliated and associated branches in most Australian States. We are always keen to welcome new Thoroughbreds on board.

We are affiliated with United ITF Taekwon-Do (Australia) Inc. which has been officially recognised as the Australian Independent National Organisation (INO # 23) representing the International Taekwon-Do Federation by President Choi Jung Hwa, 9th Degree.

The club has three senior degree black belt international instructors and examiners. They have competed and won gold medals at national level tournaments and competed at the world championships. The instructors keep up to date with their technical skills and teaching methodologies by regularly attending master classes and international instructor courses. They also attend tournaments as umpires, judges, coaches and competitors at all levels of competition.

As a member of our club, you will have access to many local, state and national tournaments, international seminars and master classes. With three high calibre instructors, you will have a high instructor to student ratio and more personal attention. Our goal is to offer expert technical Taekwon-Do instruction with modern sport science methods in a family friendly environment.
