Bando Liang

Student in Athens

I grew up the oldest of three kids in Marietta, Georgia. My parents were both immigrants from Taiwan. I was a huge fan of sports and I began with soccer. I later decided that I wanted to play baseball, in which I played up from six years old up until I was in eighth grade. Outside of sports, I enjoyed hanging out with my friends and traveling with my family. In my high school years, my buddies and I decided to play men's volleyball for fun. At the end of my high school years, I finished with honors and was going to Florida State University.

When I was finally in college, COVID was at its peak. We were not allowed to go out or anything. I was studying computer science and taking an abundance of hours. I did not enjoy my time in Tallahassee, and I was stuck in my dorms all year. After my freshman year, I decided to transfer to the University of Georgia. My first semester here, I decided to join a fraternity where I now have my best friends. Currently, I am now a junior and still pursuing computer science with the hopes of being a consultant after I graduate.
