Barack Ochondo's computer engineering career focuses primarily on local area network administration, data security, systems support, and related technical areas. A graduate from Lone Star College-North Harris in Houston, he studied Applied Sciences and has held information technology positions at organizations in the public and private sectors. Mr. Ochondo's employers have included the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Manpower @ IBM systems.
Barack Ochondo possesses the adaptability needed to learn new products and systems rapidly. He has extensive knowledge of the Maximo platform and its system derivatives, including Tivoli Asset Management, MXES, DataSplice Mobile Suite, and Maximo Enterprise Adapter.
Mr. Ochondo also works with operating systems and understands their affiliated protocols very well. Windows servers, Visio, Microsoft Exchange, HP UNIX, and Linux are a few of the systems he is comfortable and skilled with. In the arena of programming languages and tools, he is versed in Actuate, Crystal Reports, SQL, PL/SQL, and others.
Supportive of humanitarian causes, Barack Ochondo is a member of the Kenyan Diaspora Peace Counsel. He has also served as a mentor for Houston youth through Lifeways Anglican Church of England. A family man, he loves spending time with his relatives.
