The dirt scattered where my hit landed

The shortstop caught it back-handed

As fast as i cold muster, I sped to first base

Turning towards second, leaving barley a trace

My slide into two would have been a good candid.

Our chickens roost on branches high up in the tree

No cage to be found,they're allowed to roam free.

Unexpected surprises will cause our goats to faint

Their muscles are rigid, moving with a tight gait

Yappy dogs and purring cats are also pets to me.

Computer games are at the top of my list of likes

As are bike riding, ball playing , fishing for pikes

Catfish, crappi ,bullhead, any kind of fish will do

Even fishing for carp can be quite a battle too
