Tiamiyu , Barakat Bidemi is an enthusiastic lover of social good. She is 24 year old, and a graduate of Urban and Regional Planning at Obafemi Awolowo University. Her passion is drawn towards social entrepreneurship, climate action, and research.

She has organized several campus events, in two Nigerian universities and different colleges. Her work has direct influence over 500 students in the past 4 years.

She is a one time Green Personality of the month of the Green Campus Initiative after she organized the First Green seminar at Kaduna State University.

She was a Project Assistant for Connected Development in Osun State. Tracking funds meant for the Saving One Million Lives in Osun State. She is a community reporter for Follow the Money and certified Citizen journalists from the Aileen Getty School of Citizen Journalism and Yala Academy.

Barakat is a United Bank for Africa Campus Ambassador at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. Because of her outstanding performance, she was retained the following year. Two of her writings were published by the United Bank for Africa, Lion Blog.

In Mid September 2017, she was selected by the Hult Prize Foundation, as the first Campus Director to lead its year-long student competition. Which turns out to be the largest student team competition for social enterprise on campus. Hence, she got support and sponsorship from the University for the winning team to travel and compete at the Hult Prize Regional Finals in Dubai.

She worked as a Research Assistant, for the Gender Analysis of the National Net Social Safety Net Program in Oyo State, Nigeria.

Apart from her social and development experiences, she has academic experience as an industrial trainee at the Remote Sensing and Cartography Laboratory, Department of Geography, Nigerian Defense Academy in 2017; the Kaduna State Property and Development Company; and Kaduna State Power Supply Company in 2018.

In view of her graduation, the University gave her a Commendation Letter for her efforts in promoting its good image, view file. She has various software skills; and most time freelance as a web developer, content creator, and project management.

She is still on the journey of social impact, Learning, unlearning and Relearning.
