Mohammed Fouad Barakat; born April 1, 1988 is an Egyptian American actor, director and film producer. He has been nominated for Best Actor by the Dearborn Paige Awards 3 times. He won the Paige and Guild Award for Best Actor in a Drama for "Streetcar named Desire (2006) and the Award for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy for "Visit to a small Planet (2006). He has also been nominated by the Detroit Institute of arts for Best in show (2004). Mohammed Barakat started his career by appearing in Theate Play Performances prior to landing recurring roles in television commercials.
His first Television appearance on CW50 sparked his career in the automotive industry as well as Television.As a part time job, Mohammed Barakat works as a Finance Manager at 2 dealerships located on Detroits famous 8 mile road. Between starting a Production company and Managing Dealerships, Mohammed enjoys watching Movies and making Music. He performed in several venues in Downtown Detroit such as The UDetroit Cafe located at 1427 Randolph Detroit, MI 48226 Downtown Detroit.
Friends find him most famous for his ability to vividly impersonate well known personalities such as Robert De'niro and Joe Pesci.Mohammed Barakat has been featured in songs with artists Baze and Topp Notch, local artists in Detroit.In 2006 Mohammed Barakat was awarded a 1.5 (Highest score) in the state choral festival performing as a Soloist accompanied by the Talented Choral director from Fordson Highschool, Anthony Bumbaca.
Mohammed is the First Male Solo Ensamble singer from Fordson to recieve a 1.5 score at the District and State Choral Festivals. His Choir Director, Anthony AKA Tony Bumbaca also Awarded Mohammed with an Outstanding Achievement Award and a Director's Award that same year. He has also worked with Nick Speed, a music producer in Detroit who is known for his work with G-Unit Productions.
EARLY LIFE & FAMILY: Mohammed Barakat grew up in Dearborn, Michigan in a family of 6, 4 sisters and one Brother. He is the youngest in his family.
