Barb Franzen

Gothenburg, Nebraska

I was raised between the Platte Valley and the Sandhills of Central Nebraska. My home town was Brady. Today I live in Gothenburg and spend time at our cabin on the Little Blue, near Crete, where I do much of my wriitng. My genre is historical fiction and non fiction , with Nebraka stories. I also write poetry, my first love. Both my poetry and fiction have been published and have won awards, Born a ranch girl, I was later a stewardess for United and following college graduation, I specialized as a child therapist. I am presently finishing The Rag Princess. My husband and I have two grandchildren, and our son is Doane's head football coach. Cats, quilts, music and nature add the frosting to this wonderful life of mine.
