Barbara grew up in Durban, South Africa, graduating from Natal University in 1977 with a B.A (Hons). She lectured in Durban before moving to Johannesburg to study and lecture further at University of the Witwatersrand. After being widowed she returned home, began a successful career in corporate sales, later remarrying, had two daughters but divorced in 1997. She did attempt marriage again but it was short-lived, albeit full of rich lessons. She has remained a single mother since.

“I value most of all the profound wisdom Barbara has gained from being an avid student of the University of Life. It makes her a valuable teacher and one who allows the student to grow beyond her own experience” ~Client

Her interest in the emotional quotient of life was founded in her own very challenging life brought about by ‘not fitting in’, ‘questioning everything with a real need to understand’, ‘ being too transparent’, ‘making choices based in a wounded sense of self’ and suffering the consequences thereof. Her interest in the spiritual world was founded in her Anglican upbringing as well as her first husband being a Russian/Irish/Jewish/Buddhist who introduced her to the bigger picture of the metaphysical/religious/esoteric world. She began coaching professionally in spiritual and emotional self-awareness in 1998 leaving the corporate world in 2002 to run a full time business. Barbara relocated to Gauteng in 2005 with the aim of expanding her practice into the business world. She has written an in-depth course called: “Living a Simple and Integral life; having all the parts necessary to be complete in an uncomplicated way”.Staff in various organisations as well as individuals from the private sector have benefited enormously from it. The course is jam packed with practical wisdom resulting from her very full, honest, real and courageous journey through life for close on 60 years. She is continuously developing new content to be published and presented thus maintaining her unique and original outlook.
