Policy thinker and community connector passionate about transportation equity. First director of the Active Transportation Division, WA State Dept. of Transportation (started March 1, 2017).

Previous roles: 2016-2017, Chief Strategic Officer for Washington Bikes and Cascade Bicycle Club, after leading Washington Bikes into the merger that created the nation's largest statewide bicycle nonprofit. 2012-2016, Executive Director of Washington Bikes. Creator of womenbikeblogs.com & @WomenBikeBlogs. Prior to that, Director of Communications & Public Affairs at WSU Spokane for 14+ years. Once upon a time, the youngest woman ever elected to the Idaho State House and Senate. Often on my bike, always on coffee.

2020 WSDOT Leadership in Management Award. 2019 named Transportation Champion by Transportation Choices Coalition. 2019 received Doug Walker Achievement Award from Cascade Bicycle Club. 2015 Association for Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals Nonprofit Professional of the Year.
