Baron Ablon

Serving as the President/CEO/Owner of Soil Building Systems, Inc. (2001-Present). Have been in business for 45 years and are pioneers and trendsetter/influencer in the industry. Also do speaking/educational engagements. Moved to a 3.5x larger facility in 2017. Largest landscaping material manufacturing facility in the Metroplex. SBS was the recipient of the Aggie-100 award. Before this, worked in technology for 15 years (1985-2001), spanning customer support, software programming and design in EFT, POS, EBT, data communications, Internet packet communications protocols, online transaction processing, and then directing company technology strategies. Then joined family business and grew it 4x within several years.

Also served on various non-profit boards from 2003-2015. Remained Board President of Alcuin School (2011-2015). Experienced record breaking contributions and participation levels, and expanded school by successfully launching International baccalaureate High School. Also served Board President of Grandview Terrace POA (2005-2015).

Did Bachelors of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Information Systems(1981-1985).

Music Enthusiast, & also likes Watersports, workout, racquetball.

Primary charity has been Alcuin School, with time and money. Served the school for 10 years in various capacities and became president of the board after serving one year on the board. School established a ‘Board Walk’ monument section on the school campus in the honor.
