In the words of Lily Tomlin, "I always wanted to be somebody, but now I realize I should have been more specific." That notion seems to summarize much of my life to date.
As for the future, according to a very wise nineteenth century comedian named Josh Billings, "there are lots of people who mistake their imagination for their memory." I do hope I am not one of those people and would love to reminisce one day in the farther future, hopefully borrowing an idea of Calvin Coolidge's - "I have never been hurt by what I have not said."
Happiness for me will be to live peacefully in a place offering me a temperate climate yearround, a solid roof over my head; a water view; a good high speed internet connection; someone who loves me by my side; and an adoring dog at our feet.
