Since 1995, Barrett Weinberger has been involved in senior-level legal consulting with Next Step Consulting Services in Boca Raton, Florida, and served as Principal Consultant with The Joseph Group in Cincinnati, Ohio. A 1983 graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, Barrett Weinberger worked as a lawyer with prominent firms in Miami and Cincinnati from 1983 to 1995. Gaining entrepreneurial experience with several small companies during the early 1990s, he settled into his current consulting practices in 1995. At Next Step Consulting Services, Barrett Weinberger assists emerging companies in navigating corporate risk assessment, mission analysis, regulation compliance, and preparation of financial reports. In his role as Lead Consultant with The Joseph Group, Barrett Weinberger focuses his efforts on resolving constitutional issues in favor of post-conviction clients who have been wrongfully incarcerated or otherwise denied their constitutional rights. In one prominent case, he was able to secure naturalization rights for a permanent U.S. resident who was denied naturalization for two years. Barrett Weinberger is highly active in volunteering his professional services with non-profit groups such as the National Jewish Democratic Council, Seeds of Peace, and the Bureau of Jewish Education in Cincinnati. As a trustee and allocations committee member of the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati, Barrett Weinberger was directly involved in fundraising and distributing sums totaling $8 million annually. Barrett Weinberger has been a teacher and mentor to many in the legal profession for more than 25 years. Since 1978, Barrett Weinberger has performed in adjunct faculty roles at the University of Miami, Barry University, Miami Dade College, and the Academy of Court Reporting & Technology. A firm believer in the value of education, he is currently earning his M.A. in Jewish Studies at Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies in Chicago. A member of the high-intelligence group Mensa International Limited, he enjoys reading history books and writing in his spare time.
