I have been working on web and software accessibility issues since the year 2000 for a various contractors at a variety of Federal Agencies including the FAA, Health & Human Services, Homeland Security and now the Department of Education. Since starting work with Deque Systems, I have been working on finding ways to apply the WCAG2.0 Success Criteria for both Deque’s commercial customers and to websites in the Federal web space.

My work for the FAA led to two BAE SYSTEMS Chairman’s Bronze Awards for Innovation in 2000 and 2003. My work in the Accessibility Office at HHS helped set the web accessibility guidelines currently in use.

When not hard at work helping to make the web available to everyone, I can be found at Laurel Volunteer Rescue Squad where I am a volunteer Emergency Medical Technichian.
