Most recently, Barry Melnkovic served as the Vice President of Human Resources with Owens Corning Building Materials Group. Based in Toledo, Ohio, Owens Corning provides building materials around the world, generating $6 billion in annual sales and employing more than 20,000 people. Barry Melnkovic joined Owens Corning in 2004 as the Vice President of the company's Global Talent Management and Organizational Effectiveness group. In this role, Barry Melnkovic established a company-wide human resources business strategy, eliminating $330 thousand in process waste by replacing the performance management system. Within a year, Barry Melnkovic became Vice President of Human Resources, and garnered two additional promotions between 2007 and 2009. Prior to joining Owens Corning, Barry Melnkovic served as Vice President of Human Resources with such established companies as cruise operator Holland America Line, industrial coatings manufacturer Lilly Industries, and commercial vehicle producer Motor Coach Industries International, Inc. Barry Melnkovic also previously worked with Cummins Engine Company, Inc., Ashland, Inc., and PPG Industries. Barry Melnkovic graduated Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Barry Melnkovic holds a Master of Science in Human Resources from Rutgers University, as well as a certification in Senior Professional Human Resources.
