Barry Norton

I am a Development Manager in the Collections Directorate at the British Museum and lead the development of ResearchSpace.

ResearchSoace is a Linked Data-based platform for researchers in the cultural heritage domain, funded by the Andrew Mellon Foundation.

I am responsible for the ResearchSpace data and software architecture, lead an internal development team and manage external suppliers.

This role builds on my experience as a Solutions Architect, specialising in Linked Data and text analysis, and my PhD and ten years' research experience in Semantic Technologies.

I continue to provide training in the UK, Europe and the US on RDF(S), OWL, SPARQL, REST, graph databases, data integration and solution architectures driven by Linked Data.
