David is a member of Edelman's Health practice, specializing in the digital and social health space, with experience in pharmaceutical and healthcare communications. Currently, David works across the health practice helping to advise clients on digital health strategy, tactics and execution.
Prior to Edelman, David worked at Hill+Knowlton Strategies, where his responsibilities included consumer programming, issues management, and data and medical meeting support. He also provided overall digital health guidance for clients, including Amgen, Merck and Otsuka.
Previously, David supported both brand and corporate communications for various pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies and hospitals, including Millennium Pharmaceuticals, AstraZeneca, Biogen Idec, Janssen Pharmaceuticals and Hospital for Special Surgery. In this capacity, he helped lead the creation and execution of both internal and external social and digital strategy.
Additionally, David worked on US communications for AstraZeneca’s mental health treatment SEROQUEL XR. In this role, David’s responsibilities include consumer programming, issues management, data and medical meeting support and overall social and digital media guidance. David led the development of this client’s first unbranded Facebook and Twitter page as well as various Facebook advertising campaigns, developing overall strategy, scenario planning and content.
