Baruch K Moskovits is a 29-year-old cleaner at a studio who enjoys drone photography, ferret racing and eating out. He is exciting and creative, but can also be very unstable and a bit moody.
He was born and raised in Bucharest and had his first drone at 16. He currently flies a very limited range of hobby drones from the likes of DJI, Parrot and DJI itself. He created the above video of the still-moving end effector, and it's quite possibly the greatest drone video I've ever seen. He first wanted to create it when he was high school, but it took him until age 20 to be able to do it fully, with the drone almost completely hidden and unannounced.
He is addicted to the internet, something which his friend Gwendolyn Jordanne Kelsey pointed out when he was 17. The problem intensified in 2012. In 2013, Baruch lost his job as a lab assistant as a result of his addiction.
He is British who defines himself as straight. He finished school and then left academia. He is allergic to milk.
Physically, Baruch is in good shape. He is short with bronze skin, brown hair and blue eyes. He has a lazy eye.
He grew up in an upper class neighbourhood. His father left when he was young, leaving him with his mother, who was an addict.
He is currently in a relationship with Deven Lizzie Hayes. Deven is the same age as him and works as a screenplay writer.
Baruch's best friend is a cleaner at a studio called Gwendolyn Kelsey. They get on well most of the time. He also hangs around with Haze Monroe and Marni Isaac. They enjoy surfing the web together.
He is half of Galaktobepy, a duo known for making music videos involving people riding velociraptors, eating pizza and traveling the galaxy. His professional resume includes work for an episode of Legally Blonde, on which he played an unseen assistant who ruins the romance of two leads and the sex-obsessed surgeon.
"I'm often asked 'What is Galaktobepy?' and the best way to answer is 'We are wild but also most importantly real,'"
What do you like about flying?
I like being able to focus and take it more seriously. You don't have to worry about the other people in the air, and they don't have to worry about you. It makes flying a lot more fun and makes it more tactile.
Is there anything weird or in your world that would make you reconsider flying?
Never really. I've only been into drones for the last two years. I'm not so much a hobbyist.
Moskovits was in a white box on a work trip in Australia and then in China.
