Basit Igtet

Welcome to the Basit Igtet About.me page. Basit Igtet is a Swiss-based entrepreneur and Libyan national who manages companies in sectors including hospitality, energy, raw materials, infrastructure, and transport.

Born in Benghazi in 1970, he is descended from a line of leaders committed to upholding their country. Basit became prominent in 2011 for his work in support of the Libyan revolution through international lobbying. He was subsequently appointed as a Special Envoy to the Libyan National Transitional Council and campaigned to become President of Libya in 2013.
