Batemans Footwear

Batemans Footwear was first established in the late 19th century (1880s). Its first premises was located on Rossa Street ( formerly Main Street) before it took up residence at its current address of Pearse Street Clonakilty.For a Time The Rowes of Bantry ran the establishment Where Albert Murphy was an Emloyee.In 1938 the late Albert Murphy was to take over the business, eventually succeeded by his son Lionel Murphy and Grandsons. Batemans Footwear now has 3 stores in Clonakilty,Bandon and Carrigaline.
