Andy Batlhophi

Mr. Andy Moithuti Batlhophi is a youth activist amongst other things. Having started this endeavor in the early weeks of January he has achieved quite a lot in the year of 2014. Studying for a major in Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development to be completed in the year 2017, Andy has developed business ideas for a number of youth in within the country. Being the patriot he is, Mr. Batlhophi founded Social Ad Botswana in his attempt of curbing the inactiveness of young people within the country. Now having stakes in some established enterprises in the region, Andy has wellnourished business acumen when it comes to seeing the potential in the growth of a business. Adding to his skills, Andy is also an eventual blogger. Writing blog posts on regular bases in a pursuit to motivate the many youths who visit it. Being a youth activist, Andy has been part of a number of initiatives inclusive of:
1) Being a youth volunteer for CONDOMIZE Botswana team
2) Being part of the team which hosted Peace Revolution (Kenya) in Botswana
3) Participating in an array of Anti-Gender Based Violence Campaigns
4) Participating in a dialogue aimed at planning out Botswana’s involvement in the Post
2015 development agenda
5) Selected to being part of the DoSomething Botswana task force

In the month of August 2014, Andy has been the Executive Director of the Youth Alliance for Leadership and Development in Africa, University of Botswana branch for a
period of 1 year. Before that he was the Vice President of a charity organization called Welovethem Organization. Andy has interests in a number of organizations namely;
Global Warming Alleviation Society, Youth Entrepreneurship Acceleration Platform amongst others. Andy also holds a Certificate of Business Accounting (CIMA) which he obtained in the year 2011. He later went on to work as an audit trainee for a period of 5 months at A & T Associates.
