Bryan Balajadia

Los Baños, Laguna, Philippines

My current interests lie in the application of statistics to help address issues and challenges in plant breeding and genetics research. Methodologically, I am interested in statistical problems for complex, high-dimensional data.

I currently am working as a Biometrics and Statistical Genetics Specialist at the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) in the Philippines. As a member of the Biometrics and Breeding Informatics group, I help develop and maintain statistical tools and algorithms for use in plant breeding experiments, and provide technical advice, support and training to all IRRI researchers and collaborators from other institutions on statistical analysis of data derived from population-based genetic investigations.
