My name is Rebecca, although most people call me Becky. I recently moved from Aiken, SC to Port Alberni, British Columbia. Before moving, I taught elementary school for ten years, most of which were in fifth grade. I am honored to have been chosen as my school's 2015-2016 Teacher of the Year.
I have a passion for reading, and as an ELA teacher, have been able to share that passion with my students. My favorite authors are Haruki Murakami, Joan Didion, and Zadie Smith.
