I was born and raised in Sudbury, ON. As a Northerner, I've grown to love various outdoor activities, such as snowmobiling, playing hockey, and sliding down snow-covered hills with my friends on crazy carpets. I’ve also participated in many team-oriented activities during both my childhood and my adulthood. These include dance, gymnastics and of course, hockey.

My academic interests vary quite significantly, as I am currently obtaining an Bachelor of Arts with a major in Law & Justice, a double minor in Spanish and Marketing, as well as a Bachelor of Education. My diverse program choices are likely a result of the fact that I enjoy interacting with different kinds of people and learning about various subjects, which is why the teaching profession interests me so much.

My passion for teaching became apparent when I was quite young, as I would often gather my friends for a game called “classroom” where I was the teacher, who gave them actual work which I then graded and returned. In hindsight, this probably wasn’t as enjoyable for them as it was for me. Nonetheless, it sparked my interest in this field which has only grown through the various opportunities I’ve had to work with students throughout the Education program at Laurentian University. These opportunities have allowed me to work with students in various environments, which include one-to-one tutoring sessions, Math Clubs, Book Clubs as well as teaching in a classroom. I am eager to continue building on these experiences in the present and near future.
