18 years teaching high school math from the front edge of technology has offered a unique perspective to me. Yes, all the coolest technology and subject specific toys help to make an entertaining and interesting classroom. But real teaching starts with building relationships and trust with students.

Technology has finally arrived to transform the way we have to interact with students. Teachers now have multiple options for content delivery that do not require full classroom participation. This finally allows teachers that one on one time to build healthy relationships and offer sincere assistance. It also allows students that do not require as much attention to move on.

Harnessing these tools and exploring mathematics with students is Brian's passion. Brian coaches boys and girls soccer, enjoys travel with his family of 5 and spending time outdoors (on his iPad).
