Jennifer Bailey

Round Rock, Texas

I was born in Lima, Peru, in 1982 when my parents, Charles and Valery Beard, were serving as missionaries for the Church of Christ. Upon their return to the United States, our family settled in my mother's home town of Milano, Texas, where I was raised along with my older sister, Angela, and our younger sister, Crystal. We were country girls of a different sort, not really being into the "cowboy thing," but more along the lines of being completely content to take long walks out on our land for entertainment.

I graduated as salutatorian from my high school and went on to study communications at Texas A&M University, just down the road in College Station. After finishing college, I moved in with my dad in Austin, Texas, and met the love of my life, Ben Bailey, in 2005. We were married in August of 2007 and currently live just outside of Austin.

Currently I work in public relations, specifically for a school district outside of Austin. I ghost-write columns for the superintendent, which are published weekly in three local newspapers.

Throughout my life, I have thoroughly enjoyed being creative and making things with my hands -- whether it be painting, drawing, sewing or building something out of scraps of wood laying around the house. With 2013 here... I felt it was time to start creating in a completely different medium, thus, I have started a blog called Musings from the Middle Child.
