Beatrice Toner

My name is Beatrice Toner. My pronouns are she/her. I have just moved back to Tio'tia:ke/Montreal after eight years in BC.

I am an Early Childhood Educator, specialized in Infant/Toddler care. I am passionate about children's learning through play and in nature. I adhere to RIE and Reggio-inspired philosophies.

During my studies, I completed my practicum hours at Forever Learning Childcare with children 6 to 36 months, and at Storyoga in their Forest Preschool program.

Between 2018 and 2021, I worked at Saanich Neighbourhood Place, first as an Administrative Assistant, then as their Community Engagement Coordinator, and finally as a Family Support Worker. These positions all saw to support families with young children through system navigation and referrals, mental health and food security program, parenting education,

From 2015 to 2017, I worked at the Fairfield-Gonzales Community Association, in their out-of-school care programs, summer camps, and preschool.

I have worked in various other childcare settings, including the French-speaking daycare Garderie Saute-Mouton, the now-defunct Little Mountain Earth Arts playschool, private nannying and tutoring, and in the after-school programs at the Commission Scolaire Marguerite Bourgeois.

I have also a rich background in customer service, non-profit administration, and social media management.
