Student and Artist

I am a student and artist currently living in Brooklyn. My interests range from entrepreneurship to design. I am also interested in photography, fashion, and technology.

I spent my summer working the SYEP summer youth program, with Brooklyn Community Services being my service provider. It was a great opportunity, and I got to learn a lot about myself as a person and how I can impact my community.

While working with BCS, I set certain goals for myself that would benefit me, and I am honestly grateful to say that I am on the right track of accomplishing these goals. I also had the opportunity to do a lot of project-based learning work, which really thought me the importance of community development and career skills. It allowed me to think of different ways that I could become an active member in my community, helping others, and providing value to countless other people. I was really impacted by how civic engagement with some of my values and it made me realize that it's something that I want to look into sometime in my future. I am most proud of the things that I learned about myself from this program and that my advice for any of those who are interested in this opportunity, is to attack it with an open mind.

I look forward to doing more work within my community and being able to impact others the same way this opportunity impacted me.
