Seth Alexander Mayfield is the son of Angelo and Dr. La Tonya Mayfield and the older brother of Jaidyn Mayfield. Seth is a senior at North Crowley High School in Fort Worth, Texas, where he excels in academics and leadership and is active in sports. He is an honor roll student and has taken Pre-AP andAP classes. He played varsity football for the NCHS Panthers as a wide receiver and previously as a defensive end. Seth was also selected to the Principal’s Leadership Cabinet for his professional and leadership qualities. In this role, Seth, along with other Cabinet members, establish and implement changes within their school that directly and positively impact the students’ academic, social and emotional success.

In his sixth year as a member of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., Seth is the Fort Worth Chapter Teen President and has also been a South Central Region Legislative Committee Member. He recently attended the On the Hill Legislative Summit in Washington, D.C., where he advocated for gun violence prevention, voting rights and voter registration and equity in education. Seth has volunteered for numerous projects during his tenure and has participated in three Teen Conferences.

Seth has been a member of Great Commission Baptist Church for 17 years, where he serves in the Youth Usher Ministry and Teen Church. He is also a member of the Alpha Academy, a multi-year mentoring organization for young men, sponsored by the Fort Worth Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Seth has aspirations of attending his first choice college, Morehouse College, or another HBCU in the fall of 2020, and major in either Business Finance or Business Administration.

In his spare time, Seth enjoys playing football, basketball and video games. He also enjoys spending time with his family, who affectionately call him “Spidey Boy” because of his long-time adoration of his favorite superhero, Spiderman.
