Amanda Becker

Washington, D.C.

I'm a reporter writing about labor and employment law for Thomson Reuters in Washington, D.C.

Before joining Reuters, I covered Congressional ethics and private influence for the Capitol Hill paper Roll Call.

My work, from past staff positions and freelance projects, has appeared in the Washington Post, the New Republic, the American Lawyer, the Los Angeles Daily Journal, LA Weekly and on the radio program Marketplace and NPR.

I'm a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, got my undergraduate degree at Indiana University and my master's at the University of Southern California.

I love food, cooking, wine, yoga, unfiltered wheat beers, the city of Los Angeles, (legit) tacos, good light, great friends, family, fun travels and my two cats, Birdie and Winnie.
