Becky Hang

Hi, I’m Becky. I’m Asian, specifically Hmong and a ninth-grade student at Washington Jr High, living in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. On my free time, I like to sing, skateboard, and/or play instruments. I’m also interested in sports, watching dramas, exponentially Kdramas (Korean dramas), and cooking. For example, I've been on a volleyball team for one year in sixth grade. I also like to play basketball and soccer. Others and I would say I'm neat and hardworking. When I was much younger, I was shy, but as I've gotten out of my comfort zone, I was able to boost up my confidence. I am still a little bit shy at times, but I'm mostly shy and/or nervous when I have to make a presentation or speech. I'm not so outgoing and I would say I'm a little quite. My favorite subject would be English and/or math. I'm bilingual, meaning I can speak fluently in more than one language. I can speak fluently in English and Hmong, but I've also been in French class for three years now. I've also been able to pick up a few words of Korean and Chinese from watching. I take most of my school work very seriously and always try to get good grades. I'm not sure of what I would like to do yet when I grow up, but I'll like to do something involving learning and/or kids. I would like to help out the world and solve some issues too, such as getting clean water for Africa, picking up garbage/littler, and etc.
