Becky Shopf

I am the Athletic Director at Jesse C. Carson High School in China Grove, North Carolina. Additionally, I teach English III. I love the Los Angeles Dodgers and swim, play tennis, and hike to stay in shape. I volunteer at the Joshua School in Arusha, Tanzania (see my class photo from July 2017 above), yearly and with the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Western North Carolina. Originally from Lancaster County, PA, I came to North Carolina to attend Catawba College on a softball and cross country scholarship. I have a BA in English with a minor in Sports Medicine. In 2007 I earned my MBA, and in 2008 I completed by school administration license. During the past 25 years I have worked as a coach (swimming, softball, tennis, and volleyball), athletic trainer, first responder, athletic director, and teacher in Rowan County, Kannapolis, and Cabarrus County.
