Bede Noonan has had a long and successful industry career. He began as Financial Controller with Geotech Group in 1991 but was quick to progress into Contract & Business Management. When the original owners sold Geotech in 2000, Bede became Executive Director and Shareholder. While interacting across all aspects of the Geotech Group, Bede’s main focus has been on Corporate Strategy, Business Development, and Financial & Systems Management. Bede's passion for innovation and R&D drives this focus.

With Bede at the helm as CEO, Geotech Group enjoyed a period of remarkable growth. In 2002 the Group acquired Coleman Rail (our rail business). 2007 saw the acquisition of John Beever Australia (SMP engineering business). The company has since grown to over 500 employees. With headquarters in Melbourne, other offices have been established in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

Bede has qualifications in the areas of economics and accounting. This affords a strong understanding of not only project finances but also the business as a whole. Bede has long experience and consistent success as the Project Director of many major infrastructure projects. This makes him the ideal candidate to head up this new company. Under his leadership, ACCIONA Geotech is poised to become one of the largest construction Groups in Australia & New Zealand.

With a keen interest in the community, Bede has been a leader in supporting non-profit organisations. Donations from profits have been regular. This support has also included the donation of resources. It has also extended to sporting clubs and various charities. Bede’s social responsibility encompasses a partnership with Swinburne University and their Professional Placements Program. Geotech Group places more undergraduates than any other like organisation. These placements are not just in engineering but across an wide range of disciplines.

Bede is an acknowledged industry leader. He has enjoyed roles as a Director of Master Builders Association of Victoria and the Piling and Foundation Specialist Federation of Australia.
