"If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader." -John Quincy Adams
My goal is to drive others to be the best that they can be; not only in the business they work in, but in the dreams they're striving for. I have been positioned in a leadership position since before I can remember: While we were younger my siblings always looked up to me as a role model, and as I've entered the business world I was promoted to three different leadership positions before I turned twenty. Being able to engage and inspire others to love what I love has really been the best part of everything I've grown to be; I don't believe that we should be "bosses", I believe that everyone should be a "leader". As John Quincy Adams so perfectly stated in the above quote, leadership is about inspiring others to be everything more than they even thought possible; I think back to the one person who told me I could be a leader and I strive to be that role model for someone else. Every day that I go in to work I push my team harder and farther then they believe is necessary because I know that each step away from me, is a step closer to where they are going.
When I am not working I love spending time on the slopes, at the beach, or relaxing around a fire with friends. I began snowboarding in the Winter of 2013 because I thought it would be fun, but little did I know it was going to be much more than that. On my first day I fell. And I fell. And I fell. Still to this day I believe I spent more time on my butt than on my board. What kept me going was my determination to get to the bottom; I knew that I was strong enough to do it and I wasn't going to give up. And I didn't. The best feeling in the world is flying down the mountain; feeling free like nothing is holding you back and no amount of bumps and bruises will prevent me from chasing my dreams.
