I would say so far, my life has been a roller coaster. Well, kinda. I attended a "normal" high school for one year - normal being, you go to class, you're given assignments due for next class, and you go home. One year later, I transfered to a "self-directed" high school which was basically made to prepare you for university. We were given 18 units for each subject and were required to finish them by the end of the year. It was honestly the most unforgettable, exciting and fantastic three years!

After testing out the waters of university in 2010, I found that I really didn't know why I was there. Shortly after, I left and decided to work for a year.

When searching for a school this time, I did my research and was intrigued by the Seneca College Creative Advertising Program. The curriculum touched base on the business side as well as the creative side for the first year. By September 2012 I was accepted into the program and anxious to start.

First year, I was given the unforgettable opportunity to pitch ideas with my team to advertising agencies, Leo Burnett and Agency 59!

Now, I am currently a third semester student of Creative Advertising, in the business/strategic stream. There is never a day you are not doing work, but for me, I'm okay with it. Why? Because it keeps me on my toes. It forces me to constantly think of new strategies and big ideas. I am on the search for new insights and learning about new programs. Never in a million years would I imagine myself using Adobe.

Everyday is hectic and I find myself barley at home during the school year. I would say the Creative Advertising program at Seneca is definitely preparing me for the real world.

At this point, I'd love to work in account services, public relations and/or cause marketing. Hopefully one day I will be - and if I am, this will be the first place I write about my experience :).
