I love building community.

After living in Kenya for nearly 2 years when I was 11 to 13 years of age, I realized I wanted to dedicate my life to helping others and building community both locally and globally. Since then I have spent time working in Colombia, Jamaica, and different parts of Canada. Helping others and building community partnerships continues to be my mission. This is what gets me up every morning to work and informs me on what volunteer activities I take on in my community.

I am focused on putting my energy into improving services for people as well as facilitating and training. I love to learn and I like to have a strong philosophical and well researched basis for the actions I take and the workshops I teach. It matters to me that the service I provide is valuable to people and that I am always making an effort to improve. I always want a client, colleague, supervisor or customer to feel that the time they spent with me was time well spent.

Finally, I want to create an atmosphere of inclusion, compassion and fun where I work. As a Supervisor or an employee, I want people to know me as dedicated, trustworthy, approachable, cooperative, willing to listen and learn. This is my way of building community
